Supporting Isle of Wight families.

Our Story
We set up the distribution centre because we could see that, despite everyone’s best efforts, the system wasn’t working as well as it could. Food was available across the Island, but it wasn’t always reaching the people who needed it most. Community pantries were under pressure, often sourcing food individually, duplicating effort, and facing inconsistent supply. At the same time, good surplus food was going to waste.
We knew there had to be a better way. By creating a central distribution hub, we’re bringing everything together—collecting, storing, and redistributing food more efficiently so that every community has access to a reliable, affordable supply. It’s about moving from short-term fixes to a long-term, joined-up solution that works for the whole Island.
Building an Island-Wide Food Distribution System
The Challenge
Food support services across the Island have often operated independently, leading to duplication, inefficiencies, and missed opportunities to maximise available food.
Our Solution
Our central distribution centre brings everything together.
We:
-
Collect surplus food at scale
-
Store and manage it safely
-
Distribute it fairly across community partners
The Impact
-
Reduces food waste
-
Lowers costs for pantries
-
Improves consistency of supply
-
Strengthens the entire network
The Bigger Picture
This is about long-term change—creating a sustainable system that supports communities now and into the future.
